The 6th RSNOG conference was held on November 26, 2020 in an online format and hosted by the Republic of Serbia Network Operators’ Group (RSNOG), with the support of the Serbian National Internet Domain Registry (RNIDS) Foundation and organization Internet Society. Director of RATEL, Dragan Pejović, highlighted at the opening session RATEL’s commitment to the development and strengthening of cyber security in the Republic of Serbia, presenting RATEL’s recent activities as well as the plans in the capacity of the National CERT.
The conference participants could hear experts in the area of cyber security discuss the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Internet communication, applicability of Cloud vs. On-premise solutions, and the activities of the CERTs in Serbia in the situation of increased use of the Internet and surge in cyber threats. The National CERT representative Jovan Milosavljević stressed during the discussion the importance of cyber incident reporting and the CERTs cooperation in the process of incident management.
This sixth conference was held in a year when gobal awareness on the need for a permanent Internet access availability has become a paramount value. The conference was available for streaming to all interested parties.
