Conference on High-tech Crime and Information Security – ''Connect Securely''

RATEL's representatives participated in the ''Connect Securely'' Conference, organized by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia and held on 20 and 21 September 2018 in Belgrade, Serbia. The conference was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD. The conference was attended by the representatives of OSCE, EUROPOL, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Council of Europe, European Union Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), Forum of Incident Response Security Teams (FIRST), Huawei Company, Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), as well as the members of national CERTs from countries of the region, the the Special Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime, the Office for Information Technologies and e-Government and other Serbian institutions responsible for cybersecurity.

The main topics covered by the conference were fighting high-tech crime and ensuring cyber security and cyber resilience as strategic priorities, but also the necessity of exchanging information and experience and continuously improving knowledge and skills.

Guests at the official opening of the conference were the European Commissioner of Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey Süleyman Soylu, Hungarian Minister of Interior Sándor Pintér, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Montenegro Melvudin Nuhodžić and Minister of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia (FYRM) Oliver Spasovski.
