On October 19, 2026, the National CERT of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with NALED, held a workshop on information security for media representatives. The workshop covered current forms of cyber fraud and how to identify them, as well as measures for protection against these threats.

The session highlighted common fraudulent techniques targeting citizens, including phishing messages, fake notifications sent in the name of state institutions and public enterprises, scams via messaging apps and the misuse of artificial intelligence to create convincing fraudulent content. Particular attention was given to identifying suspicious messages, verifying their authenticity and protecting personal and financial data.

The workshop also addressed the importance of providing the public with timely and accurate information regarding current cyber threats, as well as the role of the media in raising awareness among citizens about risks in the digital environment.

Through the organization of educational activities and collaboration with various target groups, the National CERT of the Republic of Serbia continues to contribute to enhancing knowledge and strengthening awareness on information security.
