Serbia’s National CERT achieves Certified Team status with Trusted Introducer

7. October 2026

The National CERT of the Republic of Serbia has achieved "TI Certified" status – the highest level within the Trusted Introducer trust framework, which brings together the global community of security incident response teams. The certificate was officially presented on September 29 at a meeting in Stockholm, confirming that the National CERT meets the highest maturity standards across all areas of its operations and placing it among the elite group of teams within this community.

Trusted Introducer was established in 2000 by European incident response teams with the aim of building trust and enhancing cooperation in the field. Today, it operates under the umbrella of TF-CSIRT, a community with a European focus that connects incident response teams worldwide, currently comprising over 500 teams. Teams within this system progress through three status levels: Listed, Accredited and Certified. Approximately 10% of teams currently hold TI Certified status, with the majority hailing from Northern, Western, and Central Europe. By achieving this status, Serbia’s National CERT has become the first certified team in this part of Europe.

This certification confirms that the National CERT, which operates within RATEL, adheres to the highest international professional standards and further solidifies its position as a reliable partner within the European and global network of incident response teams. This status for the National CERT contributes to strengthening international cooperation, accelerating information exchange and improving coordination in incident response, with the aim of enhancing the protection of citizens, the business sector and institutions in the Republic of Serbia. This certification also fulfills one of the objectives set out in the European Union’s Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and the Reform Agenda of the Republic of Serbia.
