On December 18, 22 and 23, 2025, the National CERT held webinars in the field of information security for representatives of SMEs.
The attendees were presented with key topics in the field of information security, including:
- introduction to information security;
- European and national regulations in this area;
- the role, competencies and activities of the National CERT;
- current cyber threats;
- advanced defense tools, SIEM platforms and SOC services.
The goal of the webinar was for SMEs to gain a better insight into the challenges of information security, as well as to acquire practical knowledge that can be directly applied in their business.
Within the thematic units, basic concepts in the field of information security, European and national regulations were discussed, with special emphasis on the new Law on Information Security, the NIS 2 Directive, as well as the competent institutions in the European Union and the Republic of Serbia. Participants were also introduced to the role and activities of the National CERT.
A special segment was dedicated to incidents in cyberspace, with an emphasis on ransomware, phishing and DDoS attacks. Incident reporting procedures, statistical data, including the functionalities of the MISP platform, early warning systems and advanced OSINT searches were presented as well.
During the webinar, representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises were provided with numerous practical tips, as well as useful links for further improving the level of information security in their companies.
