Training for healthcare representatives

5. February 2025

The National CERT, in cooperation with the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), held a training on cybersecurity in ICT systems of special importance in the healthcare area, on 30 and 31 January 2025, which was organized within the project "Resilient and Responsive Cybersecurity in the Western Balkans".

Given the importance of information security in the area of healthcare, representatives of the health sector were able to learn about the most common types of cyber attacks and risks faced by this sector. The training consisted of 6 modules, some of which included examples of good practice, collection and analysis of information about threats, as well as compliance between the NIS2 Directive and legislation in Serbia.

In addition to the theoretical part, the participants had an opportunity to get acquainted in a practical way with the creation of plans for raising awareness on cyber security in healthcare institutions, as well as with the establishment of plans for responding to incidents in the healthcare sector.

In view of the growing number of different types of cyber threats and attacks, the National CERT continuously promotes safer use of the Internet, in order to raise awareness and spread the knowledge necessary to effectively respond to challenges in cyberspace.
