Ratel, in its capacity as the National CERT and in cooperation with NALED, held a workshop on information security for media representatives on January 22, 2025.

The workshop endeavoured to present current techniques and types of cyber attacks that are aimed at critical infrastructure, but also at citizens of the Republic of Serbia. In addition, the participants were presented with ways in which cyber attacks can be organized, as well as with prevention measures that organizations and citizens can take themselves in order to raise the level of general user security on the Internet.

At the end of the workshop, a ransomware attack simulation exercise was held on a media outlet, through which participants were able to learn about the basic challenges during a cyber attack.

Given the growing number of different types of cyber threats and attacks, the National CERT continuously promotes safer use of the Internet, in order to raise awareness and spread the knowledge necessary for an effective response to challenges in cyberspace.
