National CERT of the Republic of Serbia

The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services performs the duties of the National Center for the Prevention of Security Risks in ICT systems of the Republic of Serbia as stipulated by the Law on Information Security ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia" No. 91/25).

The primary responsibility of the National CERT is the coordination of prevention and protection against security risks in information and communication systems (ICT systems) at the national level.

The National CERT collects and exchanges information on threats, vulnerabilities, incidents and avoided incidents and, based on that information, provides support, warnings and advice to persons who manage ICT systems in the Republic of Serbia, as well as the public of the Republic of Serbia.

The National CERT monitors reported incidents on the national level and analyze vulnerabilities, risks and incidents on the basis on the collected data, in order to raise public awareness regarding information security importance.

The National CERT keeps records of the registered special CERT teams in the Republic of Serbia. Registered special CERT teams perform prevention and protection tasks related to security risks in the ICT systems within legal entities, groups of legal entities, business sectors and similar.

Supervision of the work of the National CERT in performing the tasks entrusted by this law is carried out by the Competent Authority, namely the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.
