CrowdStrike has identified a problem with the latest available update of its software.
Microsoft has created a tool that can be used to remove the problematic CrowdStrike update. It is a USB tool that automatically removes the CrowdStrike driver with an error that occurred in the latest available update of this software.
To use the available tool, the user must have:
A 64-bit Microsoft client with 8 GB of available memory,
Administrator privileges on that client,
A USB with at least 1 GB and a maximum of 32 GB of free memory. All data on the USB will be deleted and automatically formatted to FAT32.
Implementing the available tool allows the user to automatically delete the problematic file (C-00000291*.sys), after which it is possible to start the Windows operating system.
More details about the available tool, published by Microsoft, can be found at the following link.
